Graphic Design (FEED Level 2 Certificate)
Designed as an introduction to the Adobe Creative Suite version 5.0 software programmes such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, the course is delivered through a series of projects. The briefs will be chosen to allow for a range of skills to be developed within the broad subject area of graphic design.
The course will concentrate on the development of ideas and solving problems to answer briefs: exploring typography, layout and semiotics to gain an understanding of vocationally relevant design from initial research and development through to pitching to a client. using industry standard Apple Macs and Creative Suite software.

Entry Requirements
Although no formal qualifications are necessary, a basic understanding of Apple Mac platforms and of the Adobe Creative Suite software would be advantageous. No interview is required for this course. Applicants will be invited to enrol before the course is due to start.
Delivery & Assessment methods
Evening Course. Assessment is carried out informally during each session and will include peer critics and more formal summative written assessment at the end of the briefs.
Progression
Progression has typically included Higher National Diploma in Graphic Design or professional Adobe qualifications
