Full-Time courses for 16-18 School Leavers are Free.

If you are aged between 19 and 23 and don't already hold a qualification equivalent to 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, and you need to study at Entry or Level 1 to progress to Level 2, tuition fees will be waived. If you meet the Eligible Benefit criteria, tuition fees will be waived. (Registration Fees will still apply).
Course Content: This course is designed for a wide range of learners, including those with specific disabilities, 14-19 year old learners who require a vocational curriculum and those who have not yet achieved formal qualifications.

The aim of the qualification is to give learners the opportunity to gain knowledge and develop a range of practical skills relevant to the Motor Vehicle Industry.

To achieve the qualification learners must complete several units at entry 3 level, students will cover the following units:

• Engines

• Steering

• Suspension

• Braking systems

• Routine vehicle checks

• Vehicle valeting Entry Qualification: Interview and Assessment Special Features: You will be working in an environment which mirrors the industry with regards to the tools, machinery and work involved, preparing you for employment within the industry. Course Format: Learners are assessed through a portfolio of evidence when the learner is ready. Units are assessed by a formal written assignment for each unit which will be both internally and externally verified. Progression: Learners who successfully complete the course can progress onto an IMI Level 1 course.
