Why study with us?Negotiated learning modules are offered in two sizes, there are 20 credit modules and 30 credit modules. Learning is self-directed, allowing you to extend your knowledge and understanding in an area of study that complements previous experience and learning.
You select a topic which is relevant to your area of practice and programme of study. The learning process may involve a purely academic activity (such as writing a literature review) and may relate specifically to an aspect of your practice (such as the development of a learning package or a patient information leaflet), however, it will not involve the assessment of practice.
FundingIf you are employed within NHS North West and this module is to be funded by your employing Trust, please contact your Line Manager and CPD Lead for advice relating to funding and the funding application process.

HLLG7011-HLLG7014 Negotiated
Learning (20 credits at level 7)
HLLG7015 Negotiated Learning (30 credits at level 7)
This module will allow you to study a topic which you are particularly interested in or one which is directly related to your work. You (along with service managers and academic supervisors) negotiate the most appropriate learning outcomes and develop appropriate assessment strategies.
To study this module you will need to attend a negotiated learning workshop the semester before you are due to commence studying. At this workshop you will be given the opportunity to discuss your options and chosen topic with tutors.
