Use Freeze Panes to display headings when scrolling through a
sheet.
Use AutoFilter to select the required data.
Change your page orientation from portrait to landscape.
Insert Headers and Footers.
Set heading rows to repeat on each sheet.
Use Page Layout View to select the data displayed on each
sheet.
Who is the course for?
It is therefore essential that students already have completed
the Excel for Beginners course or have a basic working knowledge of
Microsoft Excel.
What is your approach?
There will be a combination of lectures, demonstrations,
discussions and practical exercises on all topics covered on the
course.
You will have an opportunity to maintain an Individual Learning
Record and your tutor will discuss your progress and achievement
with you throughout the course.

All Aspire Sussex dedicated Adult Education centres have Windows 7
and Microsoft Office 2010 installed on all computers.
If it is important for you to be using a particular version of
software on your computer you must check with the centre at the
time of booking your course, that the version you wish to learn is
used on the course you are joining.
Use of removable Computer media
A number of Adult Education courses make use of computers and they
allow for the use of removable media either provided as part of the
course or brought in by students or tutors. This media may include
CDs, DVDs, USB memory sticks or digital camera memory cards.

Students do not need to bring anything specific as handouts are
provided but it is advisable to have a notebook and pencil.
Please bring a packed lunch and any snacks and cold drinks for the
day.
