Award in Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events
This product does not have fixed starting dates and/or places.
This course is aimed at those wanting a career in spectator control and/or event stewarding, or anyone working as or wanting to work as a door supervisor, security officer/manager or event steward.
Students on public services and sport and exercise science courses will undertake this qualification along with their level 2/3 full time vocational studies, or any other relevant programme of study. The qualification is on the Qualification Credit Framework and has 40hours of study time.

problems at spectator events
4. How to respond to injuries, illnesses and other emergencies in
active leisure and learning
The qualification is assessed through assignment work and/or
through a set of multiple choice questions depending on the
awarding body.
You will gain a Level 2 BTEC Award in Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events
You will need GSCE grades at the required entry level for either a level 2 diploma or level 3 extended diploma courses.
The qualification may provide progression to other courses at
college or into employment. It can also
provide progression routes to the following qualifications:
•Level 2 NVQ in Spectator Safety
•Level 2 Award in Industry & Occupational Awareness
•Level 3 NVQ in Leisure Management
There will be an off-site visit to a local football or rugby club as part of the assessment
