You gain a qualification that’s the equivalent of three A-levels.
Applicants for a level 3 programme will normally have:
- at least four GCSEs at grade C or above (including some subjects
related to the proposed area of study) and/or a completed level 2
award
- the willingness to study for an additional level 2 qualification
in English and/or maths

Applicants will be invited to attend an interview and complete an
internal assessment. All students will have their literacy and
numeracy needs supported within the programme.
You can progress to an apprenticeship foundation degree or university place from this qualification. Remember that we run a foundation degree here at Banbury and Bicester College, the Foundation Degree in Motorsports and Engineering Practice.
Assignments give you the opportunity to prepare written work based on your own observations (e.g. describe health and safety procedures). Additional assessment may be carried out by tutor observation and/or witness statements. Assessment of this course is mainly within the context of engineering and motorsport.
