Working Maths

This course aims to improve students’ numeracy/maths skills and allow students to gain a qualification in numeracy/maths.

You will learn the skills necessary to enable you to pass a numeracy/maths qualification at the appropriate level.
You will work individually in pairs and in groups in class using a variety of resources including IT and the many resources available on the internet to support your numeracy/maths.
You will take a numeracy exam at the appropriate level.

This course will improve your self confidence and self esteem by improving your numeracy skills.

All students take an initial assessment as part of the interview process. This will suggest which level maths course is best for you. Students need to make a firm commitment to attend for the whole course.

Gaining a numeracy qualification is often an essential prerequisite to employment or to further education.
