Who is this course for? Adults (aver 16 years of age) who are involved within sport. Undertaking this course will provide students with the basic skills that will help them respond appropriately when intervening to carry out emergency aid measures on an injured player. There is no formal examination but students must demonstrate clear, logical thinking with safe practical handling. Independent assessment comprises: Student ability to recognise, prioritise and be able to respond to injuries or illnesses and demonstrate the skills required to intervene in an emergency situation. Oral questioning on any aspect of emergency first aid. What qualifications could I achieve ? 1st Aid Certificate What can the course lead to ? On completion of this course students can progress onto the FA Basic Treatment of Injuries course, followed by the Intermediate Treatment of Injuries course, and finally the full Diploma in the Treatment and Management of Injuries.
