Apprenticeship in Industrial Environmental Awareness
This apprenticeship provides preparation for entry into a career in an industrial environment which is focused on manufacturing and/or engineering. It is ideal training for job roles such as operatives, inspection, testing or similar roles within the manufacturing or aligned industrial sectors. Alongside a practical NVQ, is Underpinning Knowledge for a Vocational Qualification and Maths and English development through key or functional skills.

Entry Requirements
Applicants must be employed, and recommended by their employer English and Maths to sufficient level to enable successful completion of the apprenticeship. Interview and basic skills initial assessment.
Delivery & Assessment methods
This apprenticeship is offered in 2 pathways: The Performing Manufacturing Operations pathway is predominately workplace based delivery combined with college day release to deliver the technical certificate and key/functional skills elements of the apprenticeship. Employer Rights and Responsibility is covered in a combination of the NVQ and Induction. Duration is 6 to 12 months depending on job role and experience and the delivery model. The Performing Engineering Operations pathway is based on 9 months predominately college based programme combined with in-company work with your employers. This pathway is more suited to engineering electrical or mechanical routes. Course Length: 12 months.
Progression
Apprentices can progress onto a stand alone NVQ level 3 Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering or Technical Services depending on job role.
