The gas installation and maintenance course is a Level 2 programme and may lead onto a Level 3 or higher. You will require the support of an employer or work placement to enable you to complete the work-based evidence requirement.

It provides you with the skills to be a competent gas fitter and installer. These skills will enable you to progress to undertake the assessment required to become gas safe registered after a few more days training. The qualification will enhance your CV and job applications for career progression in this profession. This is a nationally recognised qualification.
Entry Requirements
A minimum of four GCSEs at grade C or above including English, Mathematics and a Science subject (or equivalent) or Merit grade at Level 1 course. Students with a Pass grade will be considered subject to an additional assessment and/or supportive reference from tutor.
Delivery & Assessment methods
All assessments are practically based but you will be required to build up a portfolio of your assessments that will be verified by the awarding body.
