EVOLVE: Art and Design Diploma

A multi disciplinary art and design course that builds upon the basis of drawing skills to develop and refine visual ideas towards final outcomes in Fine Art, Photography, Digital Manipulations, 3D, Graphic and Textile Design areas.

Course content

This qualification is designed to evolve your art work on to the next level providing you with increasingly sophisticated skills to express your ideas and develop innovative design solutions. You will be given the opportunity to explore a wide range of media, techniques and processes.

• Painting
• Printmaking
• Designing and developing a personal project
• Working in the art and design industry
• Working to design briefs
• Designing and making in 3Dimensions including clay ,wood, metal and plastics

Entry Requirements

A minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade D or above or suitable qualification at Level 1 with Merit grade plus portfolio/evidence of drawing ability. Students with a Pass grade on a Level 1 course will be considered subject to an additional assessment and/or supporting reference from tutor/school.

Delivery & Assessment methods

Developed through a series of evolving skills building sessions and integrated projects progressively developing your knowledge, independence and identity as an artist or designer. The FEED initiative provides award winning collaborative opportunities through high profile visiting speakers, special workshops and events. Assessment is through project grading at Pass, Merit and Distinction Levels.
