HND in Legal Studies
This HND is awarded in conjunction with Birmingham City University. It is the only HND which qualifies successful students automatic entry into the second year of an LLB qualifying law degree.
This course involves the study of a variety of legal areas and skills and concentrates on the acquisition of the practical skills designed to equip you for a role in today’s fast changing legal profession. The course thus provides a particularly suitable route for those interested in paralegal work.

Students attend Birmingham City University for at least one day a week throughout their studies
Entry Requirements
160 UCAS points from A2 Levels or a pass from BTEC National Diploma or other equivalent Level 3 qualification. Mature students will be considered on merit.
Delivery & Assessment methods
Students are assessed via examination, MOOTS, assignment and presentation
Progression
Course graduates are guaranteed a place on the second year of the LLB (Honours) degree at Birmingham City University. Alternatively students who pass this course will have an enhanced prospect of immediate employment.
