What will I study?

This course is intended to ensure that on completion individuals are conversant with the format content and the application of the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671:2008 Incorporating Amendment No. 1 2011 (17th Edition)

How will the course be delivered?

It is estimated that this module will take approximately 22 hours to complete (depending on learning speed). As an e-learning module you can complete this training in convenient stages and revisit whenever you wish. The system will record your progress throughout.

Candidates must contact us to book the formal exam upon completion of the online course content.

Candidates may need a copy of Requirements for Electrical Installations: IET Wiring Regulations: BS 7671:2008 Incorporating Amendment No 1: 2011 and an On Site Guide and a calculator for the exam.

Course Entry Criteria

Practising Electricians with relevant experience & other allied professionals e.g. surveyors, consultants & other trades needing to update and enhance their understanding of IEE Wiring Regulations. Also City & Guilds 2382 may also be suitable for anyone wishing to demonstrate an understanding of the IEE 17th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).

Although there are no formal qualifications to attend the C&G 2382-12, we strongly recommend that candidates should have prior basic knowledge of electrical science along with a basic understanding of electrical installation circuits, to ensure full potential & opportunity to successfully gain the qualification. Familiarity with the current Wiring Regulations would be an advantage.

The college operates a no refunds policy as detailed below. Cancellations and transfer requests are subject to the following conditions:

  • More than 4 weeks notice – no charge
  • 4 weeks notice – 30% of the cost
  • 2-3 weeks notice – 50% of the cost
  • 1-2 weeks notice – 75% of the cost
  • Less than 1 weeks notice – 100% of the cost

All cancellations must be made in writing and are subject to a £10 administration charge. The full fee’s policy is available on request.

What will I get at the end of the course?

You will receive a City & Guilds Certificate upon completion of the e-learning modules and successful completion of the multiple-choice examination.
