Who is the course for?

Adobe InDesign enables you to create and print a variety of tasks such as business stationery, greetings cards and leaflets. You can also publish professional quality layouts for newsletters and brochures. Whether you are new to layout design or migrating from a similar program like Quark Xpress this short course will help you on your way.

What will I study?

The course will include design interface; creating documents; adding text and graphics; drawing paths, lines and shapes; master pages; using layers; working with text; colours and gradients; output to PDF.

Applicants must have basic PC or Mac skills, including a fundamental understanding of a computer’s operating system, how to launch an application, create and save files.

How will the course be delivered?

The course runs for 2 hours per week for 3 weeks.

Course Entry Requirements

Applicants must have basic PC or Mac skills, including a fundamental understanding of a computer’s operating system, how to launch an application, create and save files. Applicants will need their own pen drive (flash drive) for this course so that they can save their work as they go along and use the documentation at home.

The college operates a no refunds policy as detailed below. Cancellations and transfer requests are subject to the following conditions:

• More than 4 weeks notice – no charge
• 4 weeks notice – 30% of the cost
• 2-3 weeks notice – 50% of the cost
• 1-2 weeks notice – 75% of the cost
• Less than 1 weeks notice – 100% of the cost

All cancellations must be made in writing and are subject to a £10 administration charge. The full fee’s policy is available on request.
