What will I study?

Upon completion of this unit, candidates will:

• Be able to produce a work plan for own area of responsibility
• Be able to allocate and agree responsibilities with team members
• Be able to monitor the process and quality of work in own area of responsibility and provide feedback
• Be able to review and amend plans of work for own area of responsibility and communicate changes

How will the course be delivered?

Assessment methods include observation of performance in the work environment, examining products of work, questioning the learner, discussions with the learner, use of others (witness testimony), looking at learner statements and recognising prior learning.

Course Entry Criteria

Entry Requirements:
There are no formal entry requirements however it is the responsibility of the Organisation funding the candidate to:

1. Ensure that they have the necessary skills and opportunities to gain the qualification successfully.

2. Ensure that they meet the specific requirements of the assessment strategy relating to the units and qualifications they are working with (i.e. a candidate must have the relevant qualification/experience appertaining to their specific vocational area).

3. Have access to two qualified assessors (each with two learners whom they are assessing) who are working within their workplace or a workplace that the candidate can get access too (unfortunately the College cannot provide this provision). The assessors must be working within the same vocational area as the verifier.

Applications will be accepted from candidates over the age of 19 years of age (stipulated by City & Guilds).

The college operates a no refunds policy as detailed below. Cancellations and transfer requests are subject to the following conditions:

• More than 4 weeks notice – no charge
• 4 weeks notice – 30% of the cost
• 2-3 weeks notice – 50% of the cost
• 1-2 weeks notice – 75% of the cost
• Less than 1 weeks notice – 100% of the cost

All cancellations must be made in writing and are subject to a £10 administration charge. The full fee’s policy is available on request.

What will I get at the end of the course?

On successful completion of Unit 403 you will gain a City & Guilds Certificate in Leading the IQA of Assessment Processes and Practice.
