NCFE Level 2 Award in Nutrition and Health – Distance Learning

Who is the course for?

This course is aimed at anyone interested in nutrition and health.

What will I study?

Recent statistics show that the number of people who are overweight or obese is continually rising in the UK. This topical programme explores the role of food in maintaining health and wellbeing, and provides learners with the knowledge to make an informed choice about their diet. It outlines the basic principles of healthy eating and examines the nutritional needs of a variety of individuals. Learners will gain understanding of nutrition and the role of food in maintaining good health, which will enable them to plan a healthy diet for themselves and others.

How will the course be delivered?

This is a distance learning package. You will be provided with a support assessor who will contact you via e-mail and telephone. You will complete assessments for each of the units. On successful completion you will gain a NCFE accredited certificate.

Course Entry Criteria

There are no entry criteria other than a keen interest in this subject.

The college operates a no refunds policy as detailed below. Cancellations and transfer requests are subject to the following conditions:

• More than 4 weeks notice – no charge
• 4 weeks notice – 30% of the cost
• 2-3 weeks notice – 50% of the cost
• 1-2 weeks notice – 75% of the cost
• Less than 1 weeks notice – 100% of the cost

All cancellations must be made in writing and are subject to a £10 administration charge. The full fee’s policy is available on request.

What will I get at the end of the course?

On successful completion of the assessments you will be awarded the NCFE Level 2 Award in Nutrition and Health.
