Foundation Degree: Business/Management

Please note that for our part-time higher education courses you must apply directly to the University of Greenwich - unfortunately the College cannot accept online applications for HE courses.

This is a two year business degree aimed at people who are already employed and who want to gain a business management qualification whilst working. It is delivered over 2 evenings each week.

There is an option to progress the qualification to BA Honours level through a top-up programme at the University of Greenwich.

The programme includes course sessions and workshops combined with work-based application and projects thus enabling students to develop a range of practical skills and to acquire an appreciation and understanding of the diverse factors involved in business management.

Teaching and assessment

Assessment will be linked to units and assignments in the form of presentations, reports, studies and time constrained assessments. In addition, the Work Based Project is done in the student's workplace and reflects the theory and learning from the classroom based sessions.

Learning will take place through lectures, tutorials and workshops, applying theory from the programme to the student's workplace through a Work Based Project and on a continuous basis as appropriate to the student.

Entry requirements

1 A Level and at least 5 GCSEs grade A*-C, including English and maths.

Mature applicants, without the normal entry requirements, will be accepted if there is evidence of their ability to succeed.

Additional course costs

Degree programme fees are payable direct to University of Greenwich and is eleigible for a tuition fee loan from Student Finance-England. The cost of books, stationery and other equipment are met by the student.

Progression

The foundation degree provides a progression route into the BA honours programme.
