The two day workshop is aimed at parents, carers and people who are in regular contact with young persons with special communication needs.
Course content
Learning of Basic Signs and Symbols to communicate and interpret.
After the workshop you should be able to communicate with babies, young children and adults with speech problems.
Teaching and assessment
The class is delivered by a Makaton specialist and covers both practical and theory elements.
Entry requirements
This course has no entry requirements.
Progression
People can progress to Makaton Beginners and to training as a local tutor.
