General information

This is an 18-month programme for those who are already working with children but wish to develop practice and to extend their qualification. This award is to qualify you to become a nursery practitioner, to work competently, safely and effectively with children. Nursery practitioners find work in a variety of work places including nurseries, primary schools, family centres and private homes.

Entry requirements

Full Level 2 qualification or equivalent in childcare or significant experience. You must be doing 10-12 hours a week voluntary or paid work in a childcare setting and complete an initial interview and assessment test to assess suitability for study at Level 3. You will need CRB clearance.
