Description
Full TimeStudents will complete a programme which will include the
following core units (subject to change):
* Business Purposes
* Business Organisations
* Financial Forecasting for Business
* People in Organisation.
Students will also study a mix of additional units which can include topics such as business online, business communication through documentation, using office equipment, managing personal finance, starting a small business.
Students will have the opportunity to study GCSE Mathematics and English alongside this programme and will also follow the Welsh Baccalaureate (level 2) programme.

How you will gain the qualification
All units are assessed and graded and an overall grade for the qualification is awarded at Pass/Merit/Distinction/Distinction* level. 2 units assessed by external exam.
What qualifications you need
You will normally need to have at least one of the following:
A BTEC Foundation Certificate in a related subject
A standard of literacy and numeracy supported by a general education equivalent to 4 GCSEs D grades
Related work experience
Other related level 1 or 2 qualifications
All candidates wishing to take a vocational programme will be interviewed prior to enrolment. Special circumstances will be considered on an individual basis.
Where to next
A BTEC First Diploma prepares you for employment and provides a good grounding to go on to a more advanced course such as a BTEC Extended Diploma. With further training or study, learners may progress into Business related careers such as accounting, administration, customer service, finance, IT, personnel or sales.
