LEVEL 1 DIPLOMA IN LANDBASED INDUSTRIES

Are you looking for a practical career path? Do you enjoy working with your hands and learning new skills? Do you have an interest in Agriculture, Conservation, Forestry or Landbased Machinery? Are you interested in learning and working outdoors. If this sounds like you, then you may enjoy developing a career in any of these Land Based industries. Do not worry if you do not know much about them yet, this course will help you gain the skills and knowledge you need. This course builds on the experiences of the Entry course and provides an introduction to all our Land-based areas. You will develop practical skills for working in these industries. In addition, the course will help you to develop a wide range of adaptable skills such as planning and communication skills, team building activities and other work skills, Adult literacy and numeracy are integral to the course. The course offers a first step to a successful career in the Land-based industry.

How you will gain the qualification

Assessment is continuous by observation of practical skills and oral questioning. Underpinning knowledge is tested via short written tests, projects and assignments. Portfolio building is an integral part of the course.

Where to next

Upon successful completion, students may be able to progress to the Level 2 in their chosen Land-based Industry.
