How you will gain the qualification

All units are assessed and graded and an overall grade for the qualification is awarded at Pass/Merit/Distinction level.


What qualifications you need


Once you apply, you will be offered an interview, given a place on an introductory ' taster' day and an entry assignment, which must be successfully completed in order to gain a place on the course. You will normally need to have at least one of the following:




A BTEC Introductory Diploma in Art, Design and Media



A standard of literacy and numeracy supported by a general education equivalent to 4 GCSEs at grades Ds.



Related work experience



Other related level 2 qualifications




We will select successful candidates based on the following: qualifications, performance at interview and taster, entry assignment.



Where to next


A BTEC First Diploma provides a good grounding to go on to a more advanced course such as a Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma, or A levels.



With further training or study, students go into a wide range of careers in the Media such as:
