LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE
You will develop your skills to prepare you for work or further
study in Health, Social Care and/or Early Years services. You will
study equality and diversity and clients’ rights, communication
skills, anatomy and physiology, social and health psychology,
lifestyle development, health, safety and security, and research.
As well as these you will study a range of topics including: Public
Health, Sociological and Psychological Perspectives, Life Span
Development, Anatomy and Physiology, Equality and Diversity,
Effective Communication, Health & Safety and Personal and
Professional Development. The full qualification is equivalent to 3
A Levels.

How you will gain the qualification
The qualification will be gained via assessment - all will be portfolio assessed and 100 required placement hours.
What qualifications you need
At least 5 GCSEs at grades A* to C including English or successful completion of a relevant Level 2 qualification at Merit or Distinction level.
Where to next
Students may progress directly into employment in a range of jobs, including HCA, Physio Aide, Project Worker, Ambulance Technician, etc. They may also progress to H.E. to further their studies in such areas as Social Work, Teaching, Health Promotion, Psychology, Physiotheraphy, OT, Midwifery, Nursing, Radiography by accessing a Degree Course.
