Course Length: Two years Course Schedule: Day or Evening Entry Requirements:Applicants need to be working in the full role of a teacher for a minimum of 75 hours, across at least two academic levels in each of the two academic years of the course. We will ask all applicants to have achieved PTLLS first before proceeding to DTLLS, so the first unit (PTLLS) will be taught as a separate qualification.
Assessment:You will be assessed in a range of ways throughout the course. There are a minimum of 8 hours of observation of teaching and learning carried out, as well as observation of your peers. There are no final examinations but a range of assignments, both written and seminar work.
You will be expected to reflct on your development as a teacher throughout the programme.

Full Description:This course explores practice and theory relating to teaching in the lifelong learning sector, including assessment, evaluation, managing learning behaviour and curriculum issues.
Throughout the course, literacy, numeracy and ICT skills are included as part of the award. This qualification allows students to apply for QTLS (Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills) by professional formation through the Institute for Learning (IfL) after the award is achieved.
