The aim of the course is to move students out of the classroom environment and to give them a practical education, focussed on gtheir transition away from the college environment and into the world of work, this may be on a part time or supported basis.
It is specifically for individuals who have maybe spent a year or more in the School of Foundation Studies and are now ready to progress forward into the world of work, or have possibly come back into the college environment after a time of absense.

Academic Progression:Following completion of the course options could include:
Mint Employment Agency- offer support through job searching and coaching to allow students with a barrier to emplyment to progress into the world of work. Students should have completed a work placement prior to referral by course tutor.
Project Search- a CCN course based at NORSE or the N&N. Rotations allowing students to gain real work experience and skills with the support of their colleagues.
Other options are available and would be discussed at the parents evening meeting whilst on the course.
Career Progression:Work Placements are provided so that relevant experience can be gained to help with the transition into the world of work .
Full Description:Over the past few years, students from the course have been working closely with Norwich in Bloom to improve the local environment.
Students participate in all the activities that woudl take place on a nursery which include: seed sowing, seedling transplanting, watering and general duties. This gives them a real chance to function in a real work environment while being supported in their learning. Student's also learn other skills primarily improving their numeracy skills achieved through stock taking, measuring flowerbeds and keeping records of the weather
Projects have include planting the flower bed at St Stephen's Church, Castle Mall, Castle Gardens, Norwich Cathedral, Norfolk Show and the Norwich Assembly House
