Football Coaching Level 1 Certificate

The first run on the ladder to becoming a world class football coach. The first year will give students the foundations to progress as a coach, helping to understand the coaching coaching process and improve confidence in leading a session. Students will have the chance to gain real life experience, working in local schools. A one year course will lead to 4 qualifications: FA L1, Leadership Through Football L2, L1 Award in Principles of Coaching Football and the C&G Certificate in Sport. How to: Safely organise & supervise activities including Mini Soccer, Small Sided and Conditioned games Promote working relationships & high standards between players, coaches, parents & officials Understand Different aspects of coaching children Identify & adapt football activities & sessions for a variety of different age groups Identify personal development opportunities in football including sports therapy, administration and officiating Different communication styles How will I be Taught? In a fun and enthusiastic way, with lots of questions and guided discovery. All lessons are well planned with opportunities to stretch and challenge all learners. All lessons will be varied using different teaching styles. A mixture of practical and classroom based lessons. They way the lessons are taught are designed to show you the way you should carry out all your coaching sessions. How will I be Assessed? The course is assessed through direct observations of practical assessments and a portfolio of theory based written work, with oral questions and reflective accounts.
