You will work through essential workshops during the 1st term and the course covers the following areas: Core visual studies, Painting, Drawing, Critical studies, Life Drawing, Professional development, Video, Installation, Graphics, Print, Sculpture, Book-Arts, Textiles, Fashion and Illustration. This allows risk taking and experimentation, which supports specialisation. Spring and summer terms are worked on independently in the studio with tutorials and is presented in a final show. How will I be Taught? Starting with a series of workshops that cover the core art and design areas, you will move on to a self-directed project with support from tutors and mentors. There is a focus on contemporary and experimental art and design practice. How will I be Assessed? You will continually get personal feedback about your progress and how to best achieve the course and your progression aims. Assessments are portfolio based and all work is considered, except for the final assessment, which is exhibition based. What our students say?
