As part of the course you will develop a music product of your choice. It is suitable if you are interested in the performance aspect of music or the more technical and production element. You will gain the specialist knowledge and understanding of creating music of your choice, from planning to production. You will learn about working in the music industry, giving you a broad knowledge of the employment opportunities, and the types of jobs there are. You will also gain an understanding of your professional development within the industry, whether you are interested in a career as a studio engineer or a musician or composer, you will find out what the music industry has to offer you and how you can get there. Taught by tutors who are passionate about music and have worked in the industry themselves, you will get first hand advice and information about working in the music industry. We have regular visits from industry experts and artists, including a recent visit from The Ting Tings who also invited a student to perform on stage with them at their sell out concert. We have an impressive 350 seat auditorium that is used for performances and as a practise area.Key Areas

What next
You could continue your education and go on to do the BTEC Extended Diploma in Music if you want to focus on performing, or BTEC Extended Diploma in Music Technology Level 3 if you are interested in music technology.
