Overview

About This Course:

This course provides an in-depth insight into the roles, responsibilities and duties performed by Architectural Technicians in the building industry. It also develops an increased knowledge of architectural design, construction techniques, building materials, building services, CAD and architectural procedures.

What You Need:

Entry is open to any person who can demonstrate by formal qualifications or otherwise, a reasonable expectation of successful completion of the chosen course of units. For admission to first year you’ll need:

  • An NQ in Building or equivalent, OR
  • Relevant work experience as evidence of ability, OR
  • To be employed in a relevant job in industry.

What You Study:

The subjects you’ll study include Construction Technology: Substructure, Site Administration, Architectural Design, Sketching and Drawing, and Structural Mechanics.

Location:

City Campus North Hanover Street

Dates:

Two years on a Monday in Year 1 and a Friday in Year 2 from 9am-4:30pm.
