Entry and admission criteria
You should have been working in a management-level job for two
years and have an undergraduate degree in any discipline, with a
minimum pass of a good honours degree
or an equivalent overseas qualification.

- Two years’ full-time (or equivalent pro-rata) work experience

If English is not your first language, an IELTS score of 6.5 (including a minimum of 5.5 in each component) or equivalent is normally required. English language tuition is available both before and during the course if required.
Teaching and assessment
Teaching will involve a mix of formal lectures, tutorials, seminars and guest speakers. Assessment will be balanced across the whole course and will involve group and individual coursework assignments, presentations and exams.
Course modules
The MBA brings to the fore current thinking in management education and will develop critical thinkers with effective problem solving skills at managerial level. Core modules broaden and critically examine key business and management fundamentals, equipping you with the ability to think conceptually and holistically. Core modules are:
- Strategic Management 1 and 2
- Corporate Performance Management
- Understanding Contemporary Organisations
- Markets and Marketing
- Research Methodology
You will also undertake two optional modules, from a comprehensive list including topics such as Project Management, Risk Management, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, allowing for focus in a particular field such as finance, HRM or marketing, or a more general management focus.
The final stage of the course is either a dissertation or an In-Company Project.
The In-Company Project is an alternative to the traditional research-based dissertation and offers the challenging opportunity to complete a 12-week strategic management project based in a UK company or organisation.
