Career Guidance (Top Up) - MSc - Distance learning

As a Careers Guidance professional, you will be working with young people, adults, parents, teachers, employers and training providers. These courses equip you with the knowledge you need to successfully advise clients on finding their way through the confusing maze of employment pathways.

If you already hold a Postgraduate Diploma qualification in Career Guidance and want to continue your personal and professional development, this course will allow you to undertake a focused piece of research and 'top up' your qualification to a masters degree. It may be of particular interest to you if you would like to gain credit for research you are already undertaking as part of your work. The course is conducted entirely by distance learning, offering you the flexibility to study while you continue to work in the guidance field. However you will gain continual support from experienced career guidance tutors. What's involved This is a distance learning course which lasts approximately one year. You will learn mainly through independent study and research but will have close contact with tutors. You will study one module in Social Research Skills for Career Education and Guidance and complete a focused piece of research in career education and guidance. On successful completion of the module and dissertation you will be awarded with an MSc in Career Guidance.
