If you like making things and enjoy working with wood, this could be an ideal career for you. Joiners make and install wooden fixtures and fittings as part of construction projects. They also undertake flooring projects such as real wood and laminate installations. Additional NotesSteel toe capped shoes/boots and sturdy clothing to protect your body will be required.
Entry CriteriaTo get a place on the programme, you will need to be working in a bench joinery role in a workshop. You will need to attend an interview and selection process.
Progression DetailsUpon successfully completing your Level 2 qualification you will be able to seek advanced apprenticeship placements or enter the work environment.
