About This Course

This short qualification is ideal for those who train other in organisations. The course is intensive, delivered over two days and provides the participants with a sound introduction to the concepts of a systematic approach to training. You'll consider the training cycle covering: * planning (including session planning) * delivery (you'll practice deliver of a 10 or 15 minute session that you have planned) * evaluation (self, peer group and course evaluation) The course will cover key elements including: * setting ground rules * use of ice breakers * the learning environment * training resources * gaining and maintaining attention * motivation * assessment

This course is ideally suited to adults who are involved in delivering basic training as part of their job or volunteer role.

To develop your skills and pursue a more professinal teacher trainer role you should consider the initial teach training courses which include: Preparation for teaching in the life long learning sector (PTLLS) Certificate in teaching in the life long learing sector (CTLLS) Diploma in teaching in the life long learing sector (DTLLS) Your tutor will give you informal advice and signpost you to more information.
