Career Opportunities
In the ever-present competitive world of countryside management, farming and food production, businesses need to move forward and be prepared to develop holdings in a variety of directions.
The course will equip graduates to develop farm diversification plans to benefit from new markets and ideas and to capitalise on advances in animal and crop production and new and innovative uses of sustainable food resources. There will be opportunities to pursue careers as sustainable development officers, plant pathologists, food supply chain specialists, farm managers, plant nursery managers, consultants, extension specialists and research scientists. Other opportunities exist in retail marketing, education, with food security charities and in food product development.
Entry requirements and applying
120 UCAS tariff points at GCE A Level or equivalent. Appropriate AS-Level and Level 3 Key Skills qualifications and industrial experience will also be taken into account.
