Masters Level Module
This module is designed to position the teacher (or professional) as an active and reflexive agent in creating change in the classroom and contributing to school development strategies. The intention is to specifically focus on the teacher as author of curriculum design and development by engaging the teacher-participants in critically reflecting on processes of writing or (re) developing curriculum. Masters Level Module
This module is designed to position the teacher (or

The intention is to specifically focus on the teacher as author of
curriculum design and development by engaging the
teacher-participants in critically reflecting on processes of
writing or (re) developing curriculum. The module creates the
opportunity for participants to consider the process of curriculum
writing in relation to their local (e.g. school), national (e.g.
UK) and global contexts It encourages the participants to formulate
their own questions, drawing on literature in the field, about what
constitutes 'effective' teaching and learning in the context of
curriculum design and writing. The module engages participants in
making important links between curriculum, pedagogy and assessment,
again drawing on theoretical literature as well as their own
research and reflective writing to inform their practices in the
production of curriculum. The module is designed to allow for
flexibility and fluency to take into account the differing contexts
of the schools, colleges and needs of teachers. It encourages
participants to challenge their own assumptions by using an
approach, which is collaborative, co-constructive and makes
connections between theoretical insights and professional practices
in curriculum writing.
