What is the Course About?

The Manx Sky at Night (1) - A look at the night skies above the Isle of Man and the various means by which mankind explores the universe and our solar system. This course will also look at the recent exciting discoveries made by both earth and space-bound instruments and will include visits to places of astronomical relevance on the Island. Ideal for beginners or those with little previous knowledge.

What is the Course About?

The Manx Sky at Night (2) - Continuing to look at the Manx Night Sky, in particular at our solar system, its origin, and past, present and future Space explorations/missions.

The 2015 Manx Night Sky - is a one-day workshop. This workshop will look at the monthly phenomenon that will be visible in our skies throughout 2015 and will include a detailed review of both the monthly and seasonal variations. Also included will be a study of the year's best meteor shower and the prospects for seeing eclipses.
