Listening to Others -Samaritans Team - one day - An opportunity to
find out about the work of the Samaritans and learn some of the
skills needed to be a good listener.
The History of Psychology - 5 weeks - Introductory course covering
the 5 main approaches of Psychology and their contemporary
applications.
Practical Psychology for Everyday Life (1) - 5 weeks - explore a
range of topics in psychology and learn how they have been applied
to everyday life. Topics include: memory, sleep, stress, resilience
and bystander intervention.
Practical Psychology for Everyday Life (2) - 4 weeks - A chance to
explore more topics in psychology and learn how they have been
applied to everyday life. Covers biorhythms, mindsets, success and
health psychology.
Alcohol Awareness - one day - Learn more about the many aspects
surrounding alcohol, such as exploring the difference between
alcohol use, misuse and abuse. This single session will discuss how
alcohol may affect communities, families, health, the law and
employment. Particular attention will be paid to young and adult
drinking and risk taking behaviours.
Drug Awareness - one day - Why has drug use changed so much over
the last ten years, especially with the introduction of 'Legal
Highs'? This single session will explore why and what changes have
emerged. Learn what drugs and drug paraphernalia looks like, the
common signs and symptoms of drug use and the dangers and risks
associated with this behaviour.
Make Your Mind Your Best Friend (Positive Thinking) - 3 weeks -
Learn how to understand and harness the power of the mind.
Essential First Aid for Adults - one day - A St John Ambulance
certificated course. Giving a step-by-step guide on how to give
First Aid to adults. Course fee includes workbook and St John
Ambulance registration and certification.
Colour Perfect - one day - An introduction to help you choose your
perfect colours every time.
Essential First Aid - one day - A St John Ambulance certificated
course. Giving a step-by-step guide on how to give First Aid to all
age groups. Course fee includes workbook and St John Ambulance
