Course Content

This Advanced Apprenticeship will usually take two years to gather all the evidence from your workplace to prove you can work at this supervisory level. In addition to the Diploma, you will study Functional skills and some additional qualifications as required by your employer.

Attendance at College will vary depending on your choice of Diploma and units. If you are interested in gaining a qualification in Work-based Agriculture, but do not wish to complete an Apprenticeship, please contact our co−ordinator.

The technical certificate covers welding, breeding, the agricultural environment and spreaders and sprayers. The Diploma and the units chosen will depend on your work role and interest.One year day release to gain the Agriculture Certificate.

One year day release to achieve the Diploma. plus extra days to achieve Functional Skills and other Certificates of Competence as required by your employer.

Entry Requirements

NVQ2/ Level 2 Diploma in Agriculture or similar. Appropriate standards in English and Maths. Working in the Agriculture sector.

Price

While you are on an Apprenticeship, your employer pays you a salary and supports you whilst you undertake your training.

The National Apprenticeship Service will pay the costs of your training depending on your age.
