Progression from Level 3. Subjects include the main systems of the horse, pasture management, feeding, teeth and ageing, remedial shoes, care of the sick horse, tack, bits and gadgets and stable vices.

Course Content

This course connects with and expands on the Horse Owners Certificate Level 3 and is suitable for horse owners and vocationally training students. The course is a mixture of classroom based theory sessions with some practical sessions at Manor Stables with our horses.

Entry Requirements

An interest in horses. Minimum age for this course is 14 years. Tetanus protection is recommended.
