Do you want to specialise in Forestry within the trees and timber industry?
Initial training at college across a range of topics is followed by extra assessment in your workplace. You will be required to produce a portfolio of work to complete the qualification. This course can also be done as part of an Apprenticeship (contact us for details).

Level 2 Diploma in Work-based Diploma in Trees and Timber
Course Content
This course will give you a broad introduction to forestry and can be run in conjunction with the Apprenticeship scheme. Initial training at College across a range of topics is followed by assessments in your workplace. You will be required to produce a portfolio of evidence. Portfolio completion typically takes between 12-18 months depending upon your skills and experience.

- Pests and diseases
- Tree planting
- Maintenance of planted areas
- Control of unwanted plant growth
- Control of pollution
- Cross−cutting timber
- Maintaining drainage systems
Entry Requirements
Tetanus protection is recommended.
