Teaching - Preparing to Teach in the LifeLong Learning Sector (PTLLS)
This Level 4 qualification is aimed at pre-service teachers. All
new teachers in the learning and skills sector are required to
complete this qualification which comprises of one unit, entitled
"Preparing to Teach in the LifeLong Learning Sector".

The Award has a value of six credits, is based on the teaching/training cycle and is assessed by two assignments, one theory and one practical, covering the basics of teaching, learning and assessment.

Entry Requirements
Evidence of being able to work at Level 2 in literacy and numeracy.
What Next?
Candidates who successfully achieve PTLLS and who have regular teaching are entitled to move onto the Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS) or Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS)
