- Insert, use and edit columns, 'Drop Caps', text boxes & graphics.
- Apply and change Page Borders
- Insert and manipulate Word Art
- Produce handouts/posters etc. suited to learners' particular requirements
Assessment:
Learners will be set a number of guided exercises, which are intended to illustrate the topics covered. Consolidation exercises will be provided to assess understanding. Discussion, questioning and feedback, personal and group, will also be used to assess the level of learning.
Course syllabus or scheme:
Using and adjusting columns to create a newspaper style effect. Inserting banner headlines. Apply drop caps to the first characters in paragraphs to create more visual impact. Place text in boxes so that they can be moved, re-shaped, coloured, etc. Using pictures: inserting a picture from the Clip Art Gallery; changing the position, size and shape of pictures, download and insert pictures from web sites. Place a variety of borders and edgings around text boxes, pictures, and pages. Insert and manipulate Word Art to create interest. Produce newsletters, leaflets, posters, etc.
