Bricklaying Part-Time

This course is aimed at those aged 19+ who are interested in a career in the bricklaying industry or who simply want to gain some skills in this area. The course covers the following units: Level 1 Diploma Carry out safe working practices in construction Information, quantities and communicating with others Building methods and construction technology Carry out basic blocklaying skills Carry out basic bricklaying skills Carry out basic cavity walling Contribute to setting out and building basic masonry structures up to damp course level Construct straightforward brick/block walls Level 2 Diploma Carry out safe working practices in construction Information, quantities and communicating with others Building methods and construction technology Interpret working drawings to set out masonry structures Thin joint masonry and masonry cladding Build solid walling, isolated and attached piers Build cavity walling forming masonry structures Construct solid and cavity walling
