Electro-therapy includes a range of mechanical and electrical treatments for the face and body such as non-surgical face-lifts (micro-current), Slendertone, G5, vacuum suction, lymph drainage, audio-sonic massage, Galvanic desincrustation, Iontophoresis, direct and indirect high-frequency, slimming and skin-toning treatments.
The theory includes the study of electrical currents and equipment, the storage and care of equipment, contra-indications to treatments, safety precautions and the psychological effects of the treatments. There will be elements of anatomy and physiology of the human body including the muscular and vascular systems.

There will be elements of anatomy and physiology of the human body including the muscular and vascular systems.

The qualifications require you to perform written and practical assessments, as well as cover a range of scenarios by undertaking courses of each electrical treatment on a variety of clients.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:• Facial Massage / Skincare qualification required as a pre-requisite (e.g. NVQ Level 2 or IHBC Module 5)
• Anatomy & Physiology qualification required as a pre-requisite (e.g. VTCT Anatomy & Physiology Diploma, or recognised nursing or Doctor's qualification or similar)
• The minimum age for entry to this course is 18 years - no exceptions. There is no upper age limit.
• A good general education is essential for this demanding course
• An excellent level of English is required. You must be able to speak, read, write and understand English fluently. You may be asked to sit an entry test.

INCLUDED IN YOUR FEES:• One uniform (one white tunic top and one pair of white trousers)
• Set of brand new towels for class use (four medium and one small). This is to make you feel comfortable and to maintain hygiene standards.
• Ring-binder folder with course notes (you may ask for the notes in advance to assisit you in your studies)
• Electro-therapy text book
• Use of modern salon equipment and accessories for class use
• All products are supplied for class use
• Each student is provided with a locker, and will be expected to change into their uniform once they have arrived at the school

NOT INCLUDED (BUT REQUIRED):• A pair of white salon shoes
• Stationary items such as pens, note paper, folders for presenting your work etc.

Timings:

Monday-Friday, 09:00-17:00, four full weeks

Notes:

You may have outstanding assessments to finish after the end date of the course.
You may be required to do an occasional late night in the student salon, in which case you will be fiven time off in lieu
