Level 1 Carpentry & Joinery CAA Diploma
Students will develop a range of basic hand skills and knowledge of the trade.
This course consists of the following units:
- Carrying out safe working practices in construction
- Information, quantities and communicating with others
- Building methods of construction
- Producing basic woodworking joints
- Maintaining and using carpentry and joinery hand tools
- Portable power tools
- Working off mobile towers and ladders
Students must have a satisfactory interview and ALL of the following:
- 3 GCSEs or equivalent
- Successful assessment activities including literacy and numeracy
Adults 19+ who have industry experience but do not have the necessary qualifications are welcome to apply.
