Level 2 Art & Design (Fashion) UAL Diploma

Term 1 - Award in Art & Design

The first term provides an opportunity to explore your interest in art and design using various materials, methods and processes that support many art and design activities to include:

• Drawing
• Pattern & texture
• Colour work
• Exploration of ideas

Term 2 - full Diploma

The full diploma will complete your course enabling you to build your skills, knowledge and understanding acquired through the Award. The course will provide skills and knowledge the following:

• Design
• Textiles
• Styling
• Garment construction

There are opportunities throughout the year to go on visits to galleries & exhibitions locally & nationally.

This course is accredited by the University of the Arts London Awarding Body.

Students must have ONE of the following:

• 4 GCSEs (3 at grades A*-D and 1 at grade A*-E), including English & Maths and Art, Design or Textiles
• Level 1 qualification at merit, plus GCSE English & Maths (1 at grade A*-D and 1 at grade A*-E)
• Equivalent qualifications - Functional Skills may be accepted in place of GCSE Maths and/or English

A portfolio of art & design work is also required.

Adults 19+ who have industry experience BUT do not have the necessary qualifications can be invited in for interview.
