Level 3 Construction Technical Professional Advanced Apprenticeship
NVQ Level 3 provides a further qualification to an advanced standard and concentrates on preparing students to take on more responsibility in the workplace.
This qualification is designed to be assessed in the workplace, or in conditions resembling the workplace.Students must demonstrate through a portfolio of evidence that they meet the relevant standards, and show that they have the required competencies.
In further education or training situations, the assessment is occasionally achieved through 'realistic workplace simulations'.
There are 3 possible routes to choose from within this course and this will be discussed in more depth at the interview stage.

- Gas
- Painting & decorating
- Plastering
- Refrigeration
Site Supervisors Advanced Apprenticeship
This course covers the following units:
- Health & safety and welfare in construction and the built environment
- Sustainable construction Maths in construction and the built environment
- Science and materials in construction
- Construction technology and design in construction
- Building technology in construction
- Project management in construction
- Graphical detailing in construction
- Measuring, estimating and tendering processes
- Surveying in construction
- Building surveying
- Building regulations
Construction & the Built Environment - Design
Advanced Apprenticeship
This course covers the following units:
- Health & safety and welfare in construction and the built environment

- Graphical detailing in construction

Students must:
- Be aged 16 or over
- Not be in full-time education or on any other training programme
- Have lived in the UK for the past three years
There are no formal entry requirements for any level, however
the employer may stipulate entry qualifications when recruiting an
apprentice to a particular job role.
Students will be expected to have a contract to work a minimum of
30 hours per week. This must be paid employment. However, you can
still apply for this course if you are actively seeking employment,
but this must be in place before you can commence the training.
As there may be different entry requirements for apprenticeships,
depending on the occupational sector, all students are required to
have an initial assessment test.
