This course is an introduction to Unvented Hot Water Systems and consists of the following:
- Legal and non statutory requirements
- Types of hot water supply systems
- Back storage unvented hot water supply system
- Expansion vessels
- Mechanical controls for unvented systems
- Electrical supplies and controls
- Installation, commissioning and decommissioning
- Installation
- Discharge pipework
- Service and fault diagnosis (servicing, fault diagnosis and rectify)
- System design (sizing hot water storage vessels)
Students must have the following:
- A Craft/NVQ Certificate in a trade such as Plumbing, Gas Engineer Electrical, Refrigeration or Heating & Ventilation
