Digital Photography for Beginners

Digital compact cameras offer the freedom to experiment with photography - making it easy to capture family shots, preserve your favourite memories or create your own photographic works of art. This introductory course teaches you the basics of using a digital camera including how to control lighting and exposure. Using Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 the course will also introduce you to a variety of simple enhancements such as: Importing Images; Cropping and Straightening your shots; Rotating and resizing your images for viewing and printing; colour control and a variety of possible alterations. This course really does introduce the very basic but very necessary elements of Digital Photography and Photoshop that will help get you snapping effectively.

You will also undertake a National Unit in Information and Communication Technology (F3GC 08).
