Carpentry and Joinery: Level 2 CSKILLS Diploma - Part Time

Course Summary:

The Carpentry and Joinery Level 2 Diploma at Nescot is available on a full-time,part-time day or part-time evening basis. The course combines practical and theory sessions and will enable you to gain good practical skills with underpinning job knowledge of Carpentry and Joinery.

Course Details:

Our courses can be completed in a variety of ways to fit in with your personal and work needs. Courses are available on a full-time, part-time day, or evening-only basis. You will be given details of course materials, stationery and the health and safety equipment you will require when you enrol on the programme.

You will work towards achievingsevenunits of competence, a phase test, the CITB Health & Safety test, and an end of Year City & Guilds examination.

Unit details:

• Store materials and equipment
• Erect and dismantle working platforms
• Work efficiently
• First fixing before plasterwork
• Second fixing after plasterwork
• Carcassing for floor and roofs
• Use portable power tools

Full-time course - One Year: the course is up to 3 days per week for 34 weeks.

Part-time day course - One Year: One day per week for 36 weeks.

Part-time evening course – One Year: Two evenings per week for 36 weeks.

Completion of the Level 2 Diploma will allow progression to the Level 3 Diploma.

Career Progression:

Upon completion of the programme you will progress to the Level 3 Diploma.
